RoseComm wins Gold SABRE Award for educational & cultural institutions

Our firm has always operated on a foundation of not only doing good work, but also doing work for good. Over the years we’ve had the opportunity to do just that with dozens of clients from vastly different sectors. Recently, we’ve focused on the education space, which enables us to delve more into our passion for learning and knowledge.

One of these clients is the philanthropy Modern States Education Alliance. This time last year, RoseComm crafted a campaign to launch a new Modern States program called Freshman Year for Free. Learners of all ages can save up to 25 percent on college tuition by taking free online courses with top university professors. This prepares them to take (and pass!) Advanced Placement and College Level Examination Program tests from The College Board, which are accepted for credit at thousands of colleges across the U.S. The mission of making higher education a reality for those who may not otherwise be able to attain it spoke to us, and we put our best into the campaign.

Not only did the media take notice – we were able to get this endeavor covered in top publications like the Washington Post – but so did our industry. It takes a lot of effort to enter awards, and that isn’t something a boutique agency can always carve out time to do. In April, the 2018 North American SABRE Awards announced its finalists, with RoseComm’s Modern States Education Alliance campaign among those for the Educational & Cultural Institutions category. My colleague Jennifer Leckstrom and I attended the award ceremony in May, humbled to be considered against such tough competition (global agencies and large universities!). We were absolutely thrilled to be announced as the category winner: The judging panel of our peers, who had reviewed over 2K entries total, selected our campaign, and we accepted our second SABRE Award win.

As we left the stage, SABRE Awards Founder Paul Holmes stopped us to personally add his congratulations and to say how nice it is to see agencies you don’t always hear about winning their category. Our team takes pride in being small but mighty.

The results RoseComm was able to generate on this campaign reflect not only our strategic thinking and hard work, but also the newsworthiness of the endeavor itself. We are grateful that organizations like Modern States continue to trust us to tell their stories.

We move forward with this success under our belt, our sights ever on those still to come. Interested in seeing more of the stories we’ve told? Check out our clients and case studies.
