Pew says Facebook is still king. A survey conducted in September 2014 by the Pew Research Center shows that Facebook is still the most popular social network. However, for the first time, more than half of internet-using young adults ages 18-29 use Instagram. And 49% of all Instagram users use the site daily.

Twitter prepares for new video product. Twitter will unveil a new way to produce videos in the coming weeks. The new feature will allow users to record, edit and post videos directly through the Twitter mobile app. Twitter owns the video-recording and sharing platform, Vine, but does not currently have another way to share videos on the site.

Video explodes on Facebook. The results are in: Facebook averaged more than 1 billion dailyvideo views since June 2014. The number of video posts per user has increased by 75% globally and94% in the U.S. over the past year. I know my timeline certainly has been flooded with Ice Bucket Challenge videos.facebook daily views

LinkedIn expands blogging platform. After reaching 1 million published posts, LinkedIn has expanded blogging access to all users in English-speaking countries. The expansion means that 230 million English speakers across the globe will be able to publish on LinkedIn moving forward.
