UArts Retains Rose Communications to Create Event Honoring Departing President’s Legacy

(June 2007) When President Miguel Angel Corzo decided to leave The University of the Arts, a 130 year-old Philadelphia-based arts institution, the school’s leadership turned to Rose Communications to produce a memorable tribute. The firm created a May event that allowed the greater community to acknowledge his many contributions and honor his legacy. The event centered on the Center for the Creative Economy, which he founded in 2005. The agency brought multiple elements – a dedication, a financial gift, a new visual identity, fresh data and a recognized guest speaker – together to ensure news value. The event drew more than 200 prominent members of the Philadelphia arts and business communities, earned accolades, and garnered positive follow-on coverage in The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Philadelphia Business Journal, and The City Paper, among others.
