My focus @ RoseComm

I oversee the day-to-day execution of client campaigns on a number of accounts in the education and healthcare industries, handling all aspects from pitching and writing to research and content development.

Years in the biz

Too many to count – without giving away my age I remember organizing boxes of print clips sent from our monitoring service and using a glue stick to paste them up for inclusion in the monthly media coverage binder.

Why get up in the morning?

  • Coffee, and lots of it
  • I’m a news junkie and immediately turn on the radio and television for any breaking news I might have missed
  • I love working with the media, leaving no stone unturned, to help tell our clients stories
  • Learning about something new every day

Cool things I’m working on

  • Spreading the word about autism awareness and the amazing students my client serves
  • Managing sponsored content pieces with key print, online and broadcast media
  • Helping our client educate the media on their new Covid-19 testing services, which remain critical even as vaccinations roll-out

Past life

I began my communication career working in television, first as an intern in college and then was hired after graduation as a researcher, fact-checker and production coordinator at NBC News’ Today Show, Dateline and Nightly News. I had a “Broadcast News” moment when running through the newsroom with a tape in my hand, minutes to spare, shouting hold the door, looking back and seeing it was Matt Lauer who let me through (this was when he was still a local WNBC news anchor).

Education

Lehigh University, Bachelor of Arts, Journalism and Communication, with a concentration in public relations and minors in Theater Arts and Marketing

After work

  • Two of my passions are cooking and traveling (three if you count wine). My dream trip is to attend cooking school at La Pitchoune (“La Peetch”), Julia Child’s summer home in Provence, France. I hear Europe is opening up soon!
  • Living and working in Hoboken you can find me outdoors riding my bike, walking with friends along the waterfront or practicing yoga on the Pier with the backdrop of the New York City skyline.
  • I never miss Jeopardy – a family dinner ritual
  • I love spending as much time as I can with my adorable new niece
